Get Glo Modem Installation

FIRST TIME ACTIVATION

• Customer buys a Glo modem and Glo prepaid SIM
• Insert the SIM in the SIM compartment in the modem, and then insert the modem to the PC.
• Wait for about 30 seconds to allow the folder-like dialogue box to pop up or better still double click on the Glo icon in the “My Computer” icon on the PC
• Click on the “RUN.AUTO.EXE” in the folder to install the modem on the PC following the installation instructions on the wizard dialogue boxes
• After successful installation (when you see a pop-up that the device is installed and ready to use), double-click on the Glo icon on the desktop
• Allow the Glo network signal to come up on the bottom left corner of the Glo Dialogue box/Graphic User Interface (GUI)
• Click on the “CALL” icon on the GUI, dial/flash any number of your choice to activate the line
• Click on the “USSD/SELF CARE” icon on the GUI, input the recharge card PIN ONLY without (# or *) one at a time in the “INPUT RECHARGE CODE” box and click on the “ACTIVATE/RECHARGE” button. Repeat this process until you recharge the account with the corresponding amount of the package of your choice. Close the box.
• Click on the “TEXT” icon on the GUI; select the first envelope-like icon with a blue label.
• In the “SEND TO” field, type 127 and then type the appropriate plan code (10 or 11 or 12 etc.) in the body.
• Click on the “SEND” button
• Upon receiving the successful subscription SMS
• Click on the VIEW button to get detail of your subscribed plan.
• Click on the “CONNECT” icon on the “TASK BAR”
• Ensure the “PROFILE NAME” is set at “GLO 3G PLUS (PREPAID)”
• Click on the “CONNECT” button, once the green and the red arrows come up, you can then open the internet browser and start to “RULE YOUR WOLRD”!

TO CHECK YOUR SUSCRIPTION STATUS

• Click on the “TEXT” icon on the GUI; select the first envelope-like icon with a blue label.
• In the “SEND TO” field, type 127 and then type “INFO” in the body.
• Click on the “SEND” button

Note: Customers are to ensure they use the profile name GLO 3G PLUS (PREPAID). Also, upon first time activation of the SIM customers will be credited with N50, as such customers are required to maintain a minimum balance of N1 to enable them stay connected to the service.
