Requirements to use the HSI Router

The following are required to use the HSI Router:

• Glo SIM: An active Glo SIM card is required to enable the Router connect to the Glo High Speed Internet network.
• PC: A desktop or laptop PC with Ethernet or Wi-Fi capability with the specs below:
  • Operating System: Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7 and Mac OS
  • Screen Resolution: 800 x 600 pixel or above, 1024 X 768 pixel (recommended)
  • Interface: standard USB interface
  • Internet Browser (minimum): Internet Explorer 6.0, Firefox 1.5, Safari 3.0

Laptop PC/Mac Configuration Requirements

The recommended PC configurations for using the router are as follows:

• CPU: Pentium 500 MHz or above
• Memory: 128 MB RAM or above
• Hard disk: 100 MB or above, available space
• Operating System: Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7 and Mac OS

Activation

Clicking on Self Care will present you with access to predefined USSD functions with which you can check your balance, recharge your account, monitor usage, buy different HSI service plans and enter other USSD commands.
To access Self Care, kindly follow the steps below:

• Connect to the Router
• Log into the Router by opening http://192.168.1.1 in an internet browser.
• Log in as ‘Admin’, default password is ‘admin’
• Select Self Care.

Subscription

1. 01 Click on ‘check account balance’ to ensure you have enough airtime to pay for your new subscription
2. 02 To load airtime credit, buy the standard recharge cards and input the scratch card number in the space provided and click ‘recharge’. Repeat as many times as necessary until you have enough airtime to pay for the subscription.
3. 03 Type in the above code of the desired Glo HSI router package or click the corresponding button (if available). This will activate your line for the desired package and deduct the appropriate airtime from your airtime balance.
4. 04 You will receive an acknowledgment SMS informing you that your subscription has been activated within 3 hours. Once you receive this you may begin to access the internet through your router.
