Newson Top "Barrister Musa Amadu has allayed fears over the qualification of the Super Eagles"

Afcon - Ikechukwu Uche - Nigeria vs Burkina Faso
The General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation, Barrister Musa Amadu has allayed fears over the qualification of the Super Eagles from the group stage of the ongoing 2013 Africa Cup of Nations following the team’s opening draw against Burkina Faso on Monday.
Alain Traore scored a late equaliser after Emmanuel Emenike had put the Super Eagles in front in the first half and Efe Ambrose was sent off for a second yellow card.
“I know football loving Nigerians were not happy that we surrendered a 1-0 lead in the last seconds of the match to Burkina Faso. But I can assure them that there is no cause for alarm. The team would raise their
game in the next match against the defending Champions Zambia,” Amadu told Goal.com.
“We have spoken with the chief coach Stephen Keshi and he has assured us that all mistakes noticed in the team during the match would be corrected and we will definitely see a more aggressive and hungry Eagles on Friday.”
The scribe of the NFF was upbeat about the chances of Nigeria in the competition. “In football it is never over until it is finally over. This is our first match and that means the team needs to work hard and get victory over the Zambians and we would have one foot in the next stage of the competition.
“One major thing I noticed in the match was lack of concentration towards the end of the match. They were not focused which cost us the equalizer. In subsequent matches they need to be focused from the start of the match till the end and the coach has assured on this. So there is no cause for alarm. Nigerians should keep praying for the team and also keep supporting the Super Eagles,” Amadu pleaded.

Nigeria will take on Zambia in Friday's first match while Burkina Faso will play Ethiopia.
